Fires can be caused by the following;<\/p>\n

\u2606 creosote build up in chimney flue
\n\u2606 overhanging branches over outside chimney stack\/flue
\n\u2606 not having fireproof woodstove floor extension or fireproof fireplace hearth
\n\u2606 no fireplace screen
\n\u2606 leaving open fires burning in fireplace unattended, overnight or for long periods of time w\/o supervision
\n\u2606 space heaters that are not safety tested\/approved
\n\u2606 smoking cigarettes in bed
\n\u2606 burning candles too near objects and leaving unattended<\/p>\n

there are also many other causes for fire not listed.<\/p>\n

The best course of action to prevent loss of life, money consuming disasters\/fires is always being pro active.<\/p>\n
